I am here to help you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and capable in nourishing your baby.
About Me
I am a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) and also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 29 years of extensive experience in the healthcare field in Wichita Falls, TX.
I have the incredible privilege of working at United Regional in the Mother-Baby Unit, where I provide invaluable lactation services to families, both inpatient and outpatient. In addition, I provide ongoing comprehensive education to hospital staff on lactation and prenatal breastfeeding classes which cater to expectant parents.
I also find great joy in co-leading our local Texoma BabyCafe’, a free and welcoming, informal support group that offers professional breastfeeding assistance and fosters community connections among new parents.
My personal struggles with breastfeeding after the birth of my twins, which included experiences with painful cracked nipples and feelings of depression, inspired me to pursue a career as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I successfully breastfed my twins for nearly three years, developing valuable insights and techniques along the way.
Now, I dedicate my time and expertise to help other mothers navigate their breastfeeding journeys and avoid similar challenges, all while emphasizing the crucial importance of compassionate lactation support during this transformative time in their lives.
